She has art work in a number of private and public collections including the South African National Gallery, Maison Européenne de la Photo, Paris; Sindika Dokolo Collection, Luanda; and Tate Modern, London. Alexander is a professor at the University of Cape Town Michaelis School of Fine Art.
Alexander’s selected works on show at the CHCI Annual Meeting constitute an oeuvre that engages a longer iteration of engagement with Humanities study on questions of aesthetics, politics and the social constitution of fields of the sensible. It will be the first time it is exhibited in South Africa and is curated by Kurt Campbell.
