            On 17 October 2024, New Archival Visions Fellows took part in a roundtable at the Archiving, Memory and Method from the Global South Conference at Makerere University. The roundtable engaged with what the panellists called a “refoundational” moment in the Southern African archival landscape in the past decade. It was chaired by Geraldine Frieslaar (Chief Archivist), and included panellists Valmont Layne (Programme Director), Tara Weinberg (Department of History, University of the Witwatersrand), Kasonde Mukhonde, (NAV Postdoctoral Fellow) and Sakhiseni Yende (NAV Postdoctoral Fellow).
