Anaïs Nony

Anaïs Nony is Andrew Mellon Postdoctoral fellow on the Becoming Technical of the Human at the Center for Humanities Research. She earned her PhD in French and Francophone Studies with a graduate certificate in Moving Image Studies from the University of Minnesota (2016). She is a recipient of two doctoral fellowships held at the Institute for Advanced Studies (2013-2015) and a Winthrop King postdoctoral fellowship in Contemporary French and Francophone Studies from Florida State University (2016-2018). Nony’s research and teaching expertise include cultural theory, performance studies, science, technology and society studies (STS). She has published articles in ParallaxCultural CritiqueAfricultures, London Journal in Critical Thought, and The French Review among other venues. Her research addresses the socio-political dimensions of technics and technologies as deployed in cultural forms. As a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Humanities Research, Nony will be focusing on publishing a book manuscript on video art and several articles for The Moving ImageIntermedialityPhilosophy Today and Derrida Today.
