Biddy Partridge is a photojournalist and musician, currently working on her archival material from South Africa and Zimbabwe, 1979 – 1999. She is passionate about the power of photographs to speak across boundaries: of generation, of geography, of race, of gender, of history. Under the title “ Collaborative Voices”, she has begun a series of explorations of photographs and other media from her archive, recording responses from different viewpoints.
“Through thoughtful and candid conversations with subjects/their children/other people connected to the images, we attempt to better understand and re-frame past moments, and to contribute to future narratives in a ‘co-production of knowledge’.”
