Trains toTaung was remastered and released in February 2025 as a double vinyl with additional tracks composed and performed by the legendary Cape Town born pianist, Paul Hanmer.
This historic work was launched in Cape Town with a series of conversations and performances. The CHR in partnership with Jazz in the Native Yards and the Cape Town Jazz Train gathered on Friday 7 February at the Iyatsiba Lab, for an evening of music memory and performance with Paul Hanmer in conversation with UWC’s Lindelwa Dalamba and Reza Khota. The CHR was delighted to host former Deputy President, Baleka Mbete, for the presentation.
